Refraining from abusing the stop-start chug breakdown, the band employs a heavier, slow riffing style of breakdown in addition to quicker, double bass pedal driven breakdowns.

The drums are also a key factor in maintaining the groove and stand out in a few key bursts of double bass pedal. Disembodied's final releases before the split-up were a split release with Brother's Keeper and Heretic album, both released in Deathconscious August 4th Comments. The group isn't particularly diverse, and you won't find a wide variety of stylistic nuances on Heretic, but Disembodied is heavy as hell and you're sure to satisfy your metal cravings with this effort.

Typically lost in the mix, diableerie bass is surprisingly audible throughout the album. The biggest weakness of Disembodied appears to be the lack of sonic variation.
While a few of the songs aren't too interesting, there are several gems, including "Cynic", "7 Stitches", and the tasty "Barbiturate". InDisembodied released their debut EP, Existence in Suicide through Furface Records, which was accompanied by the debut single "The Confession" in the following year. I used to like the EP the best, but this one has been getting a lot of spins from me lately.

This is so heavy. This is good, but I'd say get Diablerie first. I need to check this out, sounds like good stuff. Of course there is the ever occurring theme in hardcore of relationships, in this case, mostly failed.

Occasional clean guitar interludes bring Integrity to mind. Diablerie is probably their best work, but I'd recommend picking this up, too.
